Cosmic Outrun is a retro-inspired wave survival game where every second matters.
Move quickly, manage your ammo and stamina, collect powerups, and survive all 7 rounds to claim victory.
The game features responsive controls, colorful pixel art, smooth animations, and a simple progression system that ramps up difficulty every round.
Enemies fall from above, shoot lasers back at you, and drop useful powerups like extra ammo or health restores.

LMAO I was not expecting that bgm
Its a nice and simple game. The background is definingly something to look at everyone else always seems to have better art than me and it doesn't seem fair! T-T
I will say however that the spaceship moves a bit slow. I found myself pressing shift the whole time and being forced to a crawl when I inevitably ran out of boost.
Another thing I would recommend is maybe changing how the enemy ships fire? There were times where I was unable to fire back at ships because they kept a constant stream of bullets!
Overall, solid retro build. simple and sweet!
The graphics of this game stood out to me. I can tell most of them were custom-made and the creator took a lot of time on them. I especially like the background.
As for gameplay, I like the concept a lot. Galaga is my favorite "retro" game, and this game closely resembles it.
One critique I have is that there needs to be a way to take out a group of 2 or more ships without taking damage. I'd have to tank a shot or two to be able to get some of the ships.
